Greenwich Foot Tunnel

Posted by
Ian Smith (London, United Kingdom) on 5 February 2018 in Documentary & Street and Portfolio.

Opened in 1902, and not much has been done to it since (except maybe the electric lighting), this is one of a few foot tunnels that allow pedestrians to cross beneath the River Thames (though most of the others are now closed).

Fine perspective and nicely controlled exposure. We were able to stop by Greenwich when we were travelling through London to Iceland last year. We went to see the tunnel under river Thames as well.

@Darkelf Photography: It has nice entrances, but the tunnel could do with a bit of a refresh :-) Hope you enjoyed your visit? Even as a Londoner I find Greenwich a nice place to be (except maybe on peak tourist times)
