very nicely composed Ian and I like the destaurated colours in this.....that life belt would have destroyed the composition in red or orange.

@Ian Bramham: Well observed Ian - you are exactly right. Not only would the bright orange ring be distracting, but also the dull weather and flat lighting had nothing going for it in colour. No other processing other than the application of the tint was employed on this shot.

@hugo poon: Thank you Hugo - and I do promise to let you know next time I'm in HK. I am still upset that I never had the chance last time (with that big family wedding, trip to Beijing, and catching air-con-flu). Next time I'll be bringing my daughter over to meet the rest of the family too - but I'm sure I can be relieved from nappy duty for a few hours ; ) Oh, and I love the character in your shot from the same area : )
